History of 37th Street School

The 37th Street School was constructed in 1903 and was designed in the Neo-Classical style by Wisconsin architect George Birnbach. In addition to facilitating public education, it also served as a neighborhood social center from the late 1910s through the 1960s. The school was finally closed in 2005.
